Martin Tothill is a consultant and management trainer. He has 12 years experience working across learning and development in universities and business environments. Following his first degree in Mechanical Engineering he worked at Rolls Royce and Associates Ltd, in Derby, on the design and procurement of Nuclear Submarine Plant. Following that he went on to gain a Masters in Industrial Design at Central Saint Martins, London.
He subsequently ran his own business specialising in visual communication – specifically commercial still photography, graphic design and new media for clients including Orange and Goldfish.
He has a diversity of business experience across most industry and service sectors that provides him with an excellent foundation for his training work.
He has worked with professional services firms and has designed and delivered a wide variety of skill development and career development training in UK and throughout Europe.
Martin is qualified to Level B with the British Psychological Society and has a Diploma in Business Performance Coaching. He uses a wide range of psychometric tools and coaching techniques to compliment these. His style and approach has been described as empathetic and adaptive in a supportive and upbeat style with the ability to relate easily to participants.
When the opportunity arises Martin enjoys surfing on the north shores of Cornwall and mountain biking across the South Downs. He also has a keen interest in music, photography and contemporary design.
He is
married with two children and living in Brighton.
