Kate McGuire
is an executive coach, group facilitator, and Organisation Development consultant. She has twenty years' experience in these fields and has worked with Finance, HR, Strategy, and Marketing professionals, as well as programme makers and senior executives at the BBC, where she was Head of Organisation Development. At the BBC, Kate was involved in a range of organisation-wide change projects and has developed specialist expertise in Appreciate Inquiry.
As an independent coach, Kate has worked with a range of clients, including a leading global energy company, property management consultants, a trade union, and health professionals. She combines her knowledge of individual development and learning with her experience of organisations and organisational change. She helps clients build on their strengths and identify strategies for improving their behaviour, relationships and performance at work. She works with senior executives and managers at all levels to develop their leadership impact as well as their longer-term career aspirations.
Kate combines conversation and humour with an appropriate level of challenge to help clients open up the way they think about their experience and choices, in life and at work. She encourages clients to reflect on their experience to learn from what has worked for them in the past, as well as identifying new strategies for the future.
Kate has an MSc in Organisation Consulting from Ashridge and is currently studying for a Post-Graduate Certificate in Coaching through the i-coach academy, certified by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
Outside of work (and sometimes in it), Kate sings in Barts Choir and Barts Chamber Choir, performing major works in the Royal Albert Hall and other London venues.
