Moira has been an independent consultant since 1989 and has extensive experience of working in the non-profit and public sectors as a member of the Framework network of consultants. Prior to 1989 she worked as an HIV counsellor for Bradford Social Services and as a Health Visitor/Fieldwork Teacher for Bradford Health Authority.
Moira specialises in organisational development. Her particular skills lie in individual behaviours, understanding group dynamics and how this impacts on teams and the organisation as a whole. Moira enjoys using creative methods to enable people to explore issues and ideas from beyond their usual work place limits. Moira is also a trained psychotherapist and runs a small practice in Leeds.
Using a collaborative
consultancy style, Moira has an excellent reputation for working in partnership
with client organisations. Her practice is underpinned by strongly held
values and principles; belief in empowerment, consultancy as a mutual learning
experience, owned and not imposed solutions, humility, authenticity, and
the uniqueness of every organisation. A particular strength is the ability
to work equally well with senior managers of large organisations or local
community groups.
